Meet Athena, our namesake. Athena was Florence Nightengale's beloved pet owl. Athena was aptly named after the Greek Goddess of Wisdom and she accompanied Florence on her patient rounds. Patients often focused on Athena, offering a welcomed distraction for them. This sweet drawing was done by Florence's sister, Parthenope.
